World Cup Final

Today is the day of the Rugby World Cup final where miraculously England are taking part. Are you going to be watching it? If so, then where?

I'm an armchair rugby fan and I didn't give us a hope of getting past the quarter-final, so I'm glad I was proved wrong! I'm going to be watching it a home with family so I can concentrate! Icon_biggrin

RE: World Cup Final

Watched the final in a bar in Rhodes (start time there was 10pm). Shame that England lost but I think that the better side won in the end. Still, making the final wasn't bad for a team that prior to the tournament the Australians were rating as the worst ever defending champions. Ah, yes, the Australians... now let me think... England beat them along the way if I remember correctly Icon_biggrin

Oh dear, we played well but not well enough it seems! We should be proud we made it as far as the finals though, no one else thought we would Icon_cheesygrin

I had no chance to escape. Skippy is a big rugby fan having been a player in his younger days. I enjoyed it though although not as much as watching Chabal who played for France. He also for Sale Sharks.

RE: World Cup Final

It was disappointing to lose, but as you have said we did brilliantly to even get to the final and make a good game of it, even if we didn't quite have the creative spark once we went 9 points behind. It was also a real shame that Robinson had to go off injured.

Tibbar, Chabal is a monster of a player! I love watching him batter his way through too, unless its against England of course!
