Sounds brilliant, those pictures of spiders webs are beautiful.
The scenery looks gorgeous too, and you were very lucky with the weather!

Wow, the pictures don't even look like they're from this country. Such beautiful clear waters. I must remember lake bala on my places to visit!

Love the spiders webs . I have been through Bala quite a few times but never managed to stop.

Don't confuse clear water with calm water. There was not enough wind to blow out a candle for most of the time, and the reflections were terrific, but Bala is full of sediment, which I found to my cost a couple of years ago when I fell in while messing about in my canoe. I had a pair of Nikon Travellite binoculars in my pocket which filled up with water. I had them cleaned, but the sediment had dried on the prisms and ruined them.

Also in Rivers water can look calm and like it is moving slowly and sedately, but beneath the curace the currents could be much stronger than they look, so its always best to be careful when entering any sort of water.
