Wildlife Magazines
Can anyone recommend me a good wildlife magazine?
I know the BBC do one called wildlife, I've also seen a new one (forgotten the name) that has been advertised on TV recently. Is there any others? Is there any you would recommend subscribing too?

RE: Wildlife Magazines
I can recommend the bi monthly British Wildlife http://www.britishwildlife.com/
It provides a good blend of news and interesting articles. Only available by subscription, but well worth the asking price.

RE: Wildlife Magazines
I've been rather disappointed with BBC Wildlife magazine, for years I used to subscribe, but found it getting less and less interesting, and I didn't like the way it was getting 'jazzed up', so I stopped getting it. I received a free copy of the October issue (my picture of the injured bee was on the "Readers Questions" page) and it's very "bitty", it's as if they're scared to go into real depth on anything, except of course the latest foreign exotic.
British Wildlife is brilliant, just a shame it's not more frequent.

I think the bbc magazine is excellent, some articles are better thatn others though. I also get 'bird watching' magazine, which is just about birds but I think it is vey good, it comes out once a month.

RE: Wildlife Magazines
I would like to see the BBC wildlife magazine more focused on British wildlife, but it still has some interesting articles in it sometimes and could be worth a go.

RE: Wildlife Magazines
Thank you all for the suggestions! I have got the BBC magazine a few times and the past and thought it was OK, but British Wildlife magazine sounds great so I will give that a go.

I used to get BBC Wildlife religiously for years but its not so interesing of late, they just seem to gloss over things nowadays. Dont know where the old one went but I wish it would come back.
I find Birdwatching mag more interesting and I'm no twitcher!
British Wildlife mag sounds good, a pity its not in Smiths! Will look out for Countryfile mag tho!

RE: Wildlife Magazines
I would also like to see the BBC wildlife magazines more focused on the British wildlife. The few times I have bought it, there has been a lot of articles on wildlife from around the globe which is interesting, but not particularly what I bought the magazine for.
