What's this?

Found this on a pear in my garden (south east England). Never seen anything like it before - anyone able to ID it for me? Thanks. Jon

I just found out from the forum on the natural history museum web page that it is a leafhopper (Ledra aurita) - a type of cicada. Icon_cheesygrin
