I have been taking each of my various bikes out for a run every day this week, as recorded on my blog. I am to set off on bike number 5 in a few minutes.

Jilted John & Sham 69! Nothing like a bit of 70s punk. Somuch better than horrendous spice girls and chart music of my teenage era!

I like all sorts of stuff - U2, Feeder, Snow Patrol, The Stranglers, some 60's stuff through to Classical and even some Gregorian Chant. I find the latter is really good for something quiet and mellow.

For further mellowing out, I also like to listen to The Buena Vista Social Club.

"I find Shakespeare to be totally boring, as is poetry too" - maybe you just haven't found anything you like yet? Try ' The Thought Fox' by Ted Hughes, or 'Snake' by D H Lawrence.

You never know.

No ta, I'll stick to Dick Francis, Wilbur Smith (disappointed with his last book) and Arthur Ransome for my reading.

I'm quite into a range of music too, I've always liked the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and like a few others Snow Patrol have impressed me recently.

Agreed! The Spice girls were terrible - the movie was even worse than the music.

Even more terrible is the news of their proposed come-back tour!!
I bet they have trouble giving the tickets away Icon_lol

I heard that Victoria Beckham has been pretty much starving herself to be ready for the tour. What a brilliant role model.....

In that case, when they start catawauling, 'Tell me what you want, what you really, really want', the answer will be, 'a decent meal' Icon_biggrin.
