RE: Weather

Round my area in the South East, I've heard that the weekend will be reaching temperatures of 28! I hope it lasts for the summer months as well Icon_cheesygrin

RE: Weather

Today was a glorious day! The temperatures reached 30 degrees!

I had a water fight at my friends house because it was so hot, and then just a minute ago we had our first barbeque of the year!

A truly splendid day! We have also been getting some really nice sunsets around in Essex, so I am planning to get a few pictures later on this evening.

Glorious day here in North Devon - the weather like this they say is going to last till Wednesday - why is it always so hot when people are doing their exams????? Every year since i did my school exams, GCSE's & A Levels there's been a mini heatwave!!!! (many years ago now though! lol)

RE: Weather

not so glorious here, cloudy but very warm! I remember that too skylark, endless days spent studying while the sun shone out side, I used to try to study outside but there were always too many distractions! lol

I couldn't agree with you more there Skylark! Last week (6-9/5/2008) I took my Year 9 SATs, and it was so hot!

It was annoying; we had to line up outside in the heat, and I was in the last que, becasue we lined up in alphabetical surname order (Wade)

We all just couldnt wait to get in the hall and away from the sun!

RE: Weather

Sorry everyone but apparently there will be some rain tommorrow. I knew it was going to come but I hoped we'd have a bit more sunshine. Lets hope this isn't the end of our summer though! Icon_smile

RE: Weather

I just had a quick glance through this thread and how the weather can change! We've had terrible rain and win all day today, and yesterday, and apparently it's going to be like that all week! There was actually some quite deep "puddles" for lack of a better word on the rodas, one of which I had to turn around it was so deep. Lets hope it doesn't last like this, it's hard to believe we're nearly in June!

*Sigh* More rain today says the forecast. My little weather gadget in the bottom of my browser tells me there might be some sunshine tomorrow but I'm not too hopeful.

RE: Weather

I'd rather have a week of rain than a week of temperatures in the high 30s - can't sleep, so humid you have to keep having showers to cool down, the mossies have a field day and the cicadas never shut up!! Why is it we all love to discuss the weather?

Do as you would be done by. Do as you would be did. A burning pot is mighty hot, so don't sit on the lid.

RE: Weather

I agree with that, can't stand really hot weather, although warm is much better than rain. As for why we like discussing the weather, it's an english thing I guess! I think it's more about complaining about the weather than actually discussing it though Icon_biggrin
