Wasps

Anyone seen any wasps this year yet? I realise it is probably a bit early, but I've often seen queen wasps around this time of year in the past, in fact even a bit earlier.

Wasps have such a bad reputation, but I find all insects that live in huge societies fascinating.

There seemed to be quite a few around here about a month ago (had to chase a few out of the window) but not so many recently. Afraid they are one creature I'm not fond of
