The above photo was one of a set of 4. The guy apparently travels the world taking photos & then came back to his home in Alberta , Canada to find this going on in his own back yard. These were awarding winning. I can't resist, here are the other 3, to cheer us up in the dreary winter.

Is that a rabbit and some sort of deer? Brilliant pictures by the way!

Here is another from my friend in the US for you to enjoy. The photographer is one lucky person to have this all happening in their own 'back yard'.

The top one with the rabbit facing the deer, would make a great caption competition!

Great photos - thanks for posting them for us to see. The deer and rabbit certainly seem to be very friendly.

Amazing that the other two came up and peered through the window like that.

I'm not certain I would want even a small buck peering in my window! This looks to be a White-tailed Deer.

Thanks for the identification Kingfisher. The rabbit photos are by , I think its a man called Tanja Askani but unfortunately there is no name on the last one. Do you think that the presence of a washing up bowl is a bit of a tell-tale? I think they may have been fedding them but hey the pic is good nonetheless.

I would not be surprised if they'd been getting fed, but it is a dangerous practice! Those particular deer can get quite large, and they have been known to kill people. The males (bucks) can weigh up to 100 kilograms or more. They've got sharp hooves, too.

And there is a bucket on the floor aswell, so maybee the owner was feeding them by uting the food in that.
I really don't know, but yes, it is very dangerous to feed those large animals.
