They certainly do have the ability to make one think happier thoughts, don't they?

Now, can you remember the smell they made?

I don't remember any smell as it was over 15 yrs ago but I do remember wanting to bring a few sunflower heads home & dry them for the gerbils (that's the practical me coming out I'm afraid). They certainly made me smile & feel quite sunny although I think I felt stupid being seen by other passing motorists standing there taking pics surrounded by sunflowers. I still like them today although we only get them as cut flowers & they don't last long.

My list would not include scuba diving--I've tried it and did not care for it.
Bungee jumping--perhaps one day...
Sky diving--I have jumped out of a perfectly good plane already!  It was fun (in retrospect), but the tale of jumping out of that airplane is one of my very best stories.  I always end with tears in my eyes because I am laughing so hard.
Seeing the pyramids--not really high on my list, but that's because there are so many places to go and visit...
African safari--that would be fun, and my husband would also love to go.
Amazon rainforest--just don't leave that too long, or much of it may be gone when you go Icon_sad.

As for me:

I've always wanted to visit Tristan da Cunha.
I would love to go on a birding tour of Costa Rica or Brazil...
A cycling tour of New Zealand or Australia.
A cycling tour of the UK/meet and greet with my relatives!
Sometime in the next year my husband will act as my 'sag' wagon, and I will bicycle the length of Vancouver Island (well, as far as I can on the roads).

I've managed a couple of my dreams--a cruise through the Inland Passage up to Alaska where we saw glaciers calving.  A cruise to Bermuda, with dolphins following the ship.  I've flown in gliders both in Napa Valley and on the island of Oahu.  The guided horseback trip through the Chilcotin Mountains in British Columbia.

There's still a lot to accomplish, isn't there?

I would like to vist the Rockys, I would like to go hand gliding,go on safari with acamera,I could go on an on.I have spent some time in New Zealand in a camper van, what a time my husband and I had,we went all over it was out of this world,if anyone has thought about it,I say,do it ,you will have the time of your life New Zealand is great and unforgetable.

RE: Things you would like to do.....

I have visited the Rockies a few times--a trip to Yellowstone Park, and a visit to Utah for the Wasatch Mountains. Neither of those two places are necessarily what people think of for the "Rockies".

The usual view of the Rockies is the grand spectacle of either the Teton Mountains, or the Colorado Rockies. The Tetons are absolutely brilliant. They are a must see visit if you are going to visit the US to see the Rocky Mountain.

This gentleman has taken some absolutely gorgeous photos of the Cathedral Group:

He is a professional, absolutely wonderful photos.

I have not done any hang gliding, but I am certain I would enjoy it. I do so want to visit New Zealand, although the trip is probably a few years in the future.

Hi Kingfisher, you right those photos of the cathedal group are lovely,I have some lovely ones of New Zealand,I wish I could show them on here, but I took them with an ordinary camera,I have got myself a digital one three weeks ago,but Iam like a cow with a gun,I can not get too grips with it.By the way those two little birds were sparrows.

Don't really fancy hang-gliding, have been in too many incidents involving hang gliders when I was in the local mountain rescue team. Fancy New Zealand though. Some friends of mine spent a month there in a motorhome, really enjoyed it. I have them to thank for getting another dog, looked after theirs while they were away and although I had sworn I wouldn't get another after my search and rescue dog died, I realised just how much I missed having a dog - like going out in the rain, or having to get up in the mornings, or going out last thing at night for walkies. Ah well, keeps me fit I suppose.

We were going to visit the Canadian Rockies this year - hire a motorhome and spend 3 or 4 weeks there, but decided to get the roof done instead. Perhaps next year!

Digital cameras are a wonderful way to share photos with everyone! It's easy to do 'point and shoot', but more difficult to learn to frame photos.
