RE: The Little Egret
Spent a couple of hours down on the river yesterday beings it a beautiful day and i was pleased to see some of my favourite birds, flying by and wading around in the water. (lucky i timed it so the tide was on its way out).
The sun brightened the water so much i was lucky to be able to get some reflections of the Egrets.
I also came a cross a young swan slowly floating down the river.
Well done these are incredible i appreciate your craft.

I really like these photos, thanks for posting them. I think I'm going to make one of them my wallpaper! The reflections are beautiful and really add to them. I think the second one is my favourite.

Nice shots. Sometimes hard to get the white balance right when photographing white birds isn't it. We are fortunate down here to see Little Egrets every day. Heres one i took yesterday:

Great pics! Yes its not easy getting any white subjects exposure right,i use Aperature priority and on dullovercast days just compensate by +1,it usually works they are beautiful birds, and this time of year they are plentiful on our river soimake the most of it

They can be quite obliging on the Estuary here but luck plays a big part too. It amazing to think i can see Little Egret, Cattle Egret and Spoonbill down here at the moment.

I will try to get a decent photo next time I go, that's if they are there. I will most probably see the 300 Brent Geese as well! They are getting kinda borning now, but never the less, are magnificent to see.

They'll be gone soon. You should make the most of them while they are there. We dont get that sort of number down here.

I was down on the river yesterday for a few hours, and these geese were still in their 100's flocking over the meadows and then taking off again, it was breathtaking, and so exciting to think this is happening on my doorstep, going again today to see some more hopefully...thats if the thick fog disappears
