It's great news, quite a surprise too. If I wasn't so busy at the moment I would go and try and get a glimpse of it, but it sounds pretty busy there!

Why do you think it has come back? Is it just that it happenes to be passing through, or is this another sign of a warmer climate?

I would love to go! I will try and get time over the weekend, but it's just far enough away to mean it would have to be a day trip. If I do get the chance, Iwill definitely bring back some photos.

My impression from the article was that an attempt was being made to make the environment more friendly to marsh dwellers.

So perhaps the heron just felt at home?
