SPRING MIGRANTS

I do believe that Spring has sprung! We have House Martin, Sand Martin and a HOOPOE today in Cornwall! Shame the weather isn't very spring like!

RE: SPRING MIGRANTS

I knowthe weather hasn't been the best, but it has been pleasant at times, especially down here in the East where we live.

Already??Wow!!

Can't say I'm surprised though. We've had some exceptionally mild weather for this time of year

RE: SPRING MIGRANTS

I haven't seen any of the local harbingers of spring yet here in the US--looking for the barn and cliff swallows, but not spotted any.

It really isn't at the moment! Amazing how quickly it can change. It begins to feel like spring when the migrants start to return though.

RE: SPRING MIGRANTS

Tonight has been really dreary and VERY VERY windy. My mother nearly got nocked over by the wind when she stepped out of the car!!!

RE: SPRING MIGRANTS

Right I'm keeping my eyes peeled. If there are swallows turning up in Devon it won't be long before they are spotted on the South Wales coast where I am either.

RE: SPRING MIGRANTS

Well the way the wind was blowing today, if the swallows have arrived in Devon, they were most probably blown back across to Africa Icon_sad

RE: SPRING MIGRANTS

I doubt it. Once they are here they stay out of the bad weather.
