Snow!
I was out walking the dog yesterday when I was suddenly caught in a blizzard! The English weather has always been unpredictable, but to go from glorious unshine to hail/snow in a couple of hours was impressive.
Today is sunny again, but according to the weatherman tommorrow there is likely to be a frost and perhaps more snow. I worry for the plants and animals that have emerged into what they thought was Spring early, as the next week or so could be extremely cold.

RE: Snow!
Yep, more is on the way! (according to the weatherman)
Like you said the frost is what worries me. My poor plants!

RE: Snow!
We'll need photos of this! Doesn't spring officially start sometime in the next few days?

RE: Snow!
Spring officially starts on the 1st of March according to the BBC, although this has caused some heated debate as traditionally spring starts on the eve of the 20th-21st of March (which happens to be tonight).

I don't understand why the met office has to mess around with dates such as when Spring starts! Oh well, either way it is Spring today and the sun has finally returned right on cue

RE: Snow!
I got fooled into thinking that spring was officially here and laid some turf down for our lawn, destroyed through the winter by Murphy our dog! I hope that this cold snap doesn't damage it, wouldn't like to redo it.

Has the turf survived? The cold snap has definitely finished now, the last two days have been sunny, at least in the South.
