Scottish rare insects in danger

I'm thought some of you might be interested in this, especially some of the members from Scotland.

Some of Scotland's rarest insects are rapidly declining in numbers and now only found in the Highlands according to a report on the BBC website.

This includes Wood Ants and Pine Hoverfly.

The Aucheninnes Moss in Dumfries and Galloway is the only place in Scotland where thh bog bush cricket, and it is now likely to become extinct, largely because of a landfill site extension there in 2003, which I think is scandalous.
