Its not looking good Joey, they did so well last year to rear all 4.
I was a bit worried when it said they had fed the dead chick to the other youngsters,if that one did have a disease of some kind the others might get it too.

Hi Jan

Yes, they did brilliantly last year. Such a shame isn`t it? I know it`s just nature weeding out the weaklings... but I can`t help feeling very sad about it. Was hoping to get to Derby in a couple of weeks to one of the watchpoints... hope there will be something left to see..Icon_sad

RE: Peregrine webcam

Finally got to Derby Cathedral today to see the Peregrines! They were amazing. Both youngsters looking good. Saw both adults - the mother brought down a young crow who got too close, which practically fell at our feet. Later, she brought back a kill and plucked it clean before feeding it to the chicks! A lovely day, and on the way back, we saw a Grey Heron out of the train window!

PS. The cream tea in the Cathedral Centre went down well!Icon_cheesygrin

Amazing how they have adapted over time! Good to see they are still around Derby - can`t wait for the next watchpoint to begin!
