Hi Chascreek, welcome to the forums!
Whereabouts are you from? I'm living in Surrey at the moment.

RE: Newbie
Hi Exeract,
at the moment I am from two places; my home is in Staffordshire and my partners is just south of Birmingham. We are looking to sell both and probably move to Worcestershire - but hopefully a part that doesn't tend to end up under water!
Work takes me travelling all over the country from the South coast to Scoltand, Devon, Wales to East Anglia so when working away I get to see a nice range of the country.

I've discovered that updates are hard! The blog is demanding enough, although it's quite fun. I imagine that a website would be even more work .

RE: Newbie
The main issue this year has been the weather, as it is mainly a photopgraphic and audio site. The weather has hampered trips out to record the audio and take photographs, combine that with a job which has me working away around the country all the time often with at least a couple of hotel stays a week and balance home life and it leaves little time.
The problem is that something as simple as the basic audios I record take time, going wherever it is about, recording it, then the editing, encoding etc, let alone if it is one the history ones where I do some basic research beforehand. But it is more of a long term project so it isn't a massive issue apart from the fact I get a little fed up if more than a couple of weeks goes past without me being able to do something for it.
But for all that it is fun to do and nice when I get positive feedback from people who have visited and found it enjoyable or informative.
