More Squirrels..

We were under siege last night. One adult squirrel watching whilst three babies created havoc in the garden all at one time. They appeared just after feeding the rabbits when we also top-up the bird feeder tray. My lawn has holes all over it .Any suggestions apart from squirrel kebabs?

Kingfisher, you know that bonsai , I did re-wire it but look ........

Even the bonsai wasn't safe! From the picture it looks like the feeder is pretty close to the bush/tree behind, perhaps you could try moving it further away so the squirrels find it harder to get onto.

All I can say is:

"Oooh, they are a cheeky lot!"

If not kebabs, perhaps a squirrel fricassee? There's not much point in working on getting the bonsai to look pretty if the squirrels are going to be digging in the pot, is there?

Big Grin  RE: More Squirrels..

Yes good idea , Xeract the only thing is that the birds like it there & I don't want to upset them as we are doing quite well. We did have a feeding station over the other side of the garden but the squirries up climbed that too. We have found though, feeding the birds earlier today has helped the feeding station but not the bonsai..we're thinking of electric fencing for that!!Icon_biggrin

RE: More Squirrels..

Electric fencing sounds good! Just enough voltage to shock the squirrels and make them think twice about trying again! Just think, if everyone did that we could have a solution to the squirrels and bird feeder problem!

I suggest you get a good air rifle and shoot the blasted things

The only good grey squirrel is a dead grey squirrel!!!!!!
