That is quite a thought, Asian giant hornets in Britain. I'm sure it won't happen for quite a while, if at all, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about it. They are amazing creatures but I'm not sure I'd fancy coming face to face with one or a nest. Icon_smile

If global warming predictions are right then I suppose that the warmer climate would mean it was possible for creatures like the Asian hornets to live here, whether they actually made it across the channel is a different thing though, although probably quite likely at some point.

They don't have to make it across the channel, just be on a ship coming in from Asia, as in a load of fruit. That's a big worry...

That's true, it is a worry. I don't know much about hornets, but I would assume that it would have to be a queen that makes it over here if a nest is to be established, which lowers the odds but it is bound to happen at some point.
