If any of you are in front of the TV tonight then I would definitely watch part 1 of David Attenborough's new series "Life in cold blood". I know we have lots of Attenborough fans here, and this 5 part series looks like it's going to be good!

Most probably is. Despite his age, David Attenborough is still a great man, and I hope he continues on his career further.

It would be a shame if it is his last series, but I hope he goes out with a bang. I'm planning on watching it on iplayer later today (hopefully it's available) so I'll let you know what I think. I've heard from a friend it was very good though.

I really enjoyed the programme. I even managed a good giggle at those Frogs fighting, they looked like they where practicing Capoeira.

I never fail to be impressed at the size of those Leatherbacks, magnificent animals that are suffering hard times from Human ativities.

It was a wonderful program, I really enjoyed it and it was a good touch to see the different reptiles with a thermal camera so you could see them warm up during the day.

It is definitely worth a watch if you can get it on iplayer.

I saw Attenborough on Parkinson's last show. He said he would never retire, just keep going as long as he kept getting offered good jobs to do. I'm hoping someone talent spots me so i can have his job!!

I hope your right Cornwall Birder. There is not a single person I can think of that would be ready to step into his shoes! Does anyone know what the next episode is about?

He has said in several interviews that this is the last in his Life series of documentaries but not the last of his career.

Ah I see, well that's good news! I can't think of anyone either Bill, but when he does retire it will be very hard for anyone to live up to his standards.

Tonights one is on "Land Invaders", and the picture is of a frog, but I haven't found exactly what it is on. Probably just a mix of things. I'm looking forward to it though!

Hurrah! I'm glad its not his last ever programme, he is still doing a brilliant job at presenting after all these years. David Attenborough is a legend among all age ranges!

Tonights episode was as fascinating as the last. I've never been interested in cold blooded creatures until this programme, makes you see them in a whole new light.

I found the antics of the frogs particuarly funny, especially when the female was so much bigger, the males found it hard to even mate with them!

I missed it again! It's not good how I have so little time to watch TV these days. I managed to see the first 20 mins or so of the last episode in iplayer, so I will try and watch this episode whwen I get a chance.

Sunshine, I'm glad someone has the same humour as me as I thought I was the only one who found that bit funny! It was very comical, and strange too. Usually nature evolves towards to optimum, surely having a male that can barely mate with the female isn't the most fruitful combination?

I don't often watch TV but I caught tuesdays episode on snakes. I shall now be waiting for it to come out on DVD.

Attenborough sparks reptiles sales boom

Sir David Attenborough has sparked a boom in sales of lizards, frogs and other reptiles thanks to his latest TV series.

Demand for amphibians and all things scaly has doubled in the wake of the naturalist's BBC1 show Life In Cold Blood which began last month.
