Just wanted to say hello to everyone!
I have finally plucked up the courage to join!
I am Werepuppy's mum but I did find the forum first!

I love all aspects of the outdoors and wildlife.
I like getting out with the dogs and seeing the unexpected things that just are around.
Today it was an unusual black beetle that had pinchers and also arched its back when it sensed my presence.
Then it went scuttling down the path, very fast!!!

I love it when it is blue sky days just like it was today.
And when I went a walk near the sea, the sands shimmered silvery.
Sometimes there are herons fishing so intently in the bay.
They are amazing to watch as they stand so so still!

Just hello and I have enjoyed reading so many threads during the past few weeks. Now I am finally saying hello properly!

It's great to hear you have been enjoying the threads and the forum.

It was a brilliantly fresh Autumn day today, with blue skies and a slight chill in the air. Perfect for walking although I have been busy today so unfortunately could not make the most of it.

Hello meercat--it really is nice to have you join us! It's also nice to know that there are people out there enjoying the forum, even if they haven't joined us yet. Perhaps this will encourage somebody else to join ?

I am amazed that I am the age I am (!) and have never seen one of these sort of beetles before!
