Just flew by...............

..........and decided to say 'Hi' Icon_cheesygrin

I'm Kat, 31, from the West Mids and I love the natural world around me.
Although I live in the suburbs of a city, there is still loads of wildlife around. I especially like birdwatching - I get dunnocks, robins, blackbirds, wood pigeons, blue tits, great tits, long-tailed tits, goldfinches, greenfinches and magpies in my garden (I think I've remembered them all, anyway! Icon_smile)

I also enjoy woodland or country walks and being by the sea, but being so far inland, I don't get to do that very often Icon_sad

Anyway, look forward to chatting with you all Icon_mrgreen

Howdy KatRaven, welcome Icon_smile Look forward to chatting to you.

I live in the south east and am very fortunate to have quite a bit of woodland near-by. I also like walking by the sea, especially when it's a rough and wild day. However, the sea is about an hour drive so I don't get to do it much either.

Welcome to the forum KatRaven!

Sounds like you get quite a variety in your garden. I love walking by the sea too, although like you I don't get to visit very often as I'm inland.

I look forward to talking with you more!

Hello KatRaven, your garden sounds full of life! Do you get any interesting animals there as well as the birds?

Welcome to Wildlife UK!

RE: Just flew by...............

Thankyou all for the warm welcome! Icon_mrgreen

The sea is at it's best, I think, when it's rough and wild - provided you don't stand too close, of course! Icon_eek
My favourite beaches that I've been to so far are Scarborough, Woolacome Bay in Devon and Morar (western Scotland).

I missed 'wren' off the list of the birds, by the way - I knew I'd miss one! Icon_redface
As for animals, there is a fox, a couple of squirrels and maybe a hedgehog (I think I heard it crunching in the bushes one night Icon_smile)
We also have a pond with a few frogs in it.
Those are all the ones I know of anyway Icon_wink
