Some years ago, I belonged to the Peak District Mines Historical Society. I would spend weekends grovelling about in old lead mines and I suffer from caustrophobia!

Did you develop that before or AFTER grovelling in old lead mines?

"Noodling" sounds like an incredibly dangerous past time! Sometimes I can see the fun in this sort of thing, with Noodling I have to admit I can't see the fun in risking getting your arm bitten off

I figure that any fishing which requires two people is not something for me. I saw one snapping turtle in the Shedd Aquarium (in Chicago) which was about five feet long. Yes, it would be able to take your arm off without a second's hesitation.
Not for me. Although catfish is a great tasting fish!

The jaws of snapping turtles are amazing powerful, I wouldn't get near one unless I had too! I think I prefer the standard way of fishing to getting that close, although it would be more exciting.
