RE: Hurt Duck

I would suggest giving the ducks as much food as possible to help the healing process, I've heard bananas are good for ducks as they often have a bananine (sp?) deficiency.

As these are wild ducks it probably wouldn't be a good idea, but if you were keeping them as pets I would suggest keeping the duck in an enclosesd protected area for a few weeks to let it heal.

Keep us updated on the duck! Have you seen it again today? I'm hoping it is ok.

It does not sound good for the drake, I'm afraid. The pond, and the photo, are very nice.

Love the ducks, & love the pond. The water is lovely & clear. This must be duck heaven I am surprised that the ducks didn't nest in your garden. I hope you find the male.

I am very happy to report that this morning my male duck was swimmimg around my pond waiting for me to feed them. He seems to have made a speedy recovery. ( unless i have two pairs) but he is fine now. Lynn

RE: Hurt Duck

That's great news! Any pictures of the recovering male? I have to say I feared the worst when you said he hadn't been sighted the next day.
