Hottest April in 200 years
This April is set to be the warmest for 300 years according to the met office, if the weather stays as warm as it is meant to over the next few days.
While we all enjoy the warm weather, some ecologists are worried that the overly warm climate may affect some of our native wildlife.
It has not been the month of showers, if it is this dry in April, it does not bode well for the summer. Shallow root species will be especially vulnerable if we do have a dry summer.

And yet March was not any different from the past. What they don't tell us is that the sites where they take the temperatures are far more built up than in the past and will get much hotter than in the open country, so these temperatures are suspect.

Yes, March had its hotter days but it wasn't that different from any other year. Strange how it works.

This is true, but the built up places can create their own weather, and disturb wildlife in those places, for better or worse.
