Holiday

Hello all,

I'm off on holiday today for a week (until the 14th) and I don't think I'm going to have internet access in that time. That means unfortunately I won't be able to answer any PM's or e-mails. If you have any questions either PM Kingfisher of PM me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Have a good week, and enjoy the forums. See you all next Friday!

Cheers,
Xeract

RE: Holiday

I'm sorry to say I didn't get many photos at all! I got one of a particularly large spider found on our caravan (which I'll post in the gallery now), but there wasn't a lot of time for nature viewing or photography.

Sorry! Icon_biggrin

Edit: Here is the spider, it's a bit of a shame that the flash washed it out a bit.

RE: Holiday

Thanks Icon_biggrin

I was annoyed that the flash washed it out, and then before I could get another one it had scuttled off.

RE: Holiday

Welcome back from the hols! Hope you had a good time.

I suffered from the same on our hols a couple of weeks back, not much time for nature or photographs, but that's what happens when you have teenagers in tow to keep happy!

Where did you go, then?

I was looking at your latest on your website--did you manage to see otters in Scotland?

RE: Holiday

Hi Kingfisher,

No the Scotland trip was before our hols and it was work. I am back in in Scotland again this week as well.

Our holiday was in Somerset where we had been given a location where you have a pretty good chance of seeing Otters. We sadly didn't manage to get around to it with the kids around as they don't find wildlife very entertaining, sadly wildlife doesn't have buttons to press or go bang or zoom.

Last entry on my site (well last but one now as the latest is from the local reserve), was when I was down in Devon working at the beginning of last week, and it ended up being Otter related as I was on the river Dart. But alas no sightings.

RE: Holiday

If / when I do I will most certainly be telling everyone Icon_cheesygrin

I am down in Devon again for a week working at the end of October but I don't think there will be any chance by then.

(My apologies to Exeract for kind of unintentially hijacking his thread).
