Hello all! What a lovely forum - it's very nice to meet you all

Well a bit about me... I'm Caroline, a true wildlife nut and I now live in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside near Skipton. We only moved in 3 months ago from Shropshire and I'm throughly enjoying the wildlife here!

I have 3 passions... 1 - Wildlife (obviously lol!) 2 - Gerbils (we have 2 lovely girlies) and 3 - photography. I have recently bought myself a new super-duper camera (Panasonic DMC-FZ8) and I am getting some fabulous results with it which I hope to share with you soon.

Thats great your enjoying the wildlife in Yorkshire, it is beautiful around there. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your photos! Do you have any pictures of you gerbils we could take a look at?

Oh gosh yes - too many! I'm a bit confused as to how I set up my album - help please? I've managed to get one into the gallery already and I'll post it later. I'm new... bear with me lol!

Still having probs with getting my pic on a thread Who was it who said 'patients is a virtue'?!? :

To get your picture in a thread, copy the link and then in the reply/new thread page click on the image button (the little button with the mountains and sun). A box will come up, copy the link into the box then click ok. When you post the reply or new thread the image will then be in the post.

Caz, I see you managed to get your gerbils in the gallery . I have not seen a gerbil in ages (I'm not certain they are legal to own in my state of Washington, although I know that they are illegal to own in the state of California), so I did not know that they come in lovely varieties now.

Yes indeedy they are legal! I am a member of a brilliant gerbil forum and there are members on there from Washington who own gerbils, but you are right about California - no gerbils allowed sadly

I've only been here in Yorkshire for 3 months and have already got a huge amount of wildlife pics, some of which have even impressed me lol! Loving my new camera!
