Congratuations to all three of you and also a big thanks to everyone who entered this year. If you'd like to know your score then please contact Jamie.

As you know, this was Jamie's last month running the competition so a huge thank you to him from everyone at the forum. He's run the competition brilliantly and I'm sure you'll agree it's been a big success.

There will be no January competition this year but hopefully we should have something sorted for February.

Guide to including images from gallery in your posts

Once you have images in the gallery, you may want to add them to your posts.

  • Find your image in the gallery and click on it
  • Once the page has loaded, right click on the image and click properties
  • Highlight the website address next to the address title, and right click. Select copy.
  • Now when you write your post, click on the image button and right click in the box and copy the image address. Then click OK.
  • Your image will now be in your post!

I just wanted to say that adding a picture gallery has been a great idea. Visual concepts expand greatly on our perception on the forum. Thanks.

RE: Guide to including images from gallery in your posts

Can I please ask how I get an image in my posting which enlarges when clicking on it or is larger than a thumb-nail? I have followed the instructions (thank you Icon_cheesygrin) but I only ever get a small picture in my posts - well the few I've attempted to do Icon_confused

P.S. sorry if I've posted this in the wrong area

Ive had a look at the gallery Am I supposed to add images to the gallery first and then to posts. I tried but again no luck. Confused of Sussex.

I did succeed with this one last week but cant repeat it. This came from my computer My pictures file. If i click on it twice it enlarges nicely in the post. http://www.wildlifeuk.net/attachment.php?aid=699

I tried to attach a picture here . Something was happening but no symbolic words in brackets appeared in this box. Strange.

Hi Bobby,

Yes you need to add it to the gallery first and then to the post. When you did it previously you use an attachment which is slightly different.

Try uploading the picture to the gallery and then following these instructions to add it to the post.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Ok 2 questions

1) I am meaning attachments really. The attachments would nt work the 2nd and 3rd time I tried with both large size and small files. Is it me ? Wot R the steps.

2) I send images to printing orgs via an Album gallery but Again I cant work out how to upload to Wildlife.

Sorry to be problematic. In the last few months Ive started to have problems with tecchy stuff and Im not that old. Worrying .
Thanks for your help. Easy steps please or point me to easy directions & that should sort this out.
