I've only ringed one starling in my garden so far. I have a new visitor though, a RAT!

And that probably means RAT..S, as they dont usually come in 1's!Icon_eek

I used to do bird ringing at school nearly 30 years ago! It was the same school in Birmingham (King Edwards) that Bill Oddie went to (he was the Rugby captain by the way). We had a big nature reserve and used to put lots of nets out every Friday afternoon. One day we caught a Cetti's Warbler which was almost unheard of in those days. Some of the Senior guys went on Phil Drabble's (God rest his soul) radio programme and talked about the find.

Does that mean that Starlings are not common in your garden? I get on avergae about 20 Starlings a day. They can be a neucanse(spelling) becasue they eat the food like there is no tomorrow!
