Wow - some really cracking shots there. Just out of interest, what camera are you using - sorry if you've already stated this elsewhere.

Went to the Farnes for the very first (and so far only) time at the end of last May - it was brilliant - a wonderful experience.

Thanks Icon_smile

I'm using a Nikon D3.

But like a Chef who uses expensive pans - there's a bit more to it than that {hehehe}

Rolleyes

thanks for the information.

Have to say, I count the Farnes one of the best places I've ever eaten a packed lunch!

RE: Farne Isle Puffins

Great pictures - I love the Farnes particularly for the eiders and Arctic Terns, but love the puffins as well

RE: Farne Isle Puffins

Well Skomer turned out to be better than i thought, puffins a plenty, but the Little Owl chicks were the bonus of the decade Icon_biggrin

I would say Skomer is better than Farne, you get longer there and not so many people, although it is a much bigger walk to find the big colonies, and a lot of effort if you arent fit (like me lol) and carrying about 20kg of camera gear lol
