Well for me anyway. Heard a screech or two & looked into the garden Ohhhhhh!!!!went to grab the camera by my side & no batteries. Ran through the house to get the other camera & when I got back just got a shot off as it took off. Poor Skippy was at work , what a shame!!!
Hee Hee.. what was it ? A Sparrowhawk had landed on the rabbit run at the bottom of the garden. At first I thought it was a kestrel as I have seen one before in a tree just behind the rabbit feed shed before.
This one was positively ID'd as a Sparrowhawk but as I took perhaps too long a look before running for the camera.....
So not only do we have the Buzzards, Harris hawk, & kezzie but now a sparrowhawk paying us a visit . Good news for us but perhaps not so good for the Goldies. As for the pic............

it just turned out a blur but at least I knew what it was...........

You were very lucky to see one in your garden! As Kingfisher said it is definitely and action shot, but you did well to get any shot at all! Has it come back at all since you saw it or do you think it was a one off?
I have never seen it before but then again they don't tend to land on a rabbit run. I do hope to see it again but I am getting quite taken with birds of prey. We know we have the birds listed above in the vicinity & also an owl as a neighbour has seen one or two & we have heard one at night. I would like to photograph them though they may prove difficult.
I am still a bit giddy from this sight absolutely cracking , sad bit is I like to share it with Skippy also!!

Birds of prey are fantastic to watch a a real treat when you see them, to have one appear in your back garden is amazing, I'm very jealous! It will be difficult to get a photo, but well worth the reward. Hopefully skippy will get a chance to see it if it comes back.
