Big Grin  evening on my patch

we took a stroll round my patch this evening and wow what a revelation i knew barn owls were present and me and my non birding partner spent the best part of an hour watching a pair of them toing and froing feeding young in a nest we also saw a couple of kingfishers and also shew her a grey wagtails nest which 4 young have now fledged now my other half is hooked were of again tommorrow evening just as a quick footnote i just been to lock the chickens away and nearly triped over a hedgehog in the garden so all in all a sucsessfull night

Excellent! If you want to inspire a non-birder the two birds to show them would be Barn Owl and/or Kingfisher for sure! Both superb.
