Dragonflies
I haven't seen many dragonflies around this year, how about everyone else? They are one of my favourite animals to see around, great fun to watch them fly around while having a picnic.
Usually I see a few around ponds and lakes, it might be because of the wet weather I haven't been out on walks as much this year, or maybe I've just been unlucky.

RE: Dragonflies
Along with Butterflies, Dragonflies and Damselflies have been seen in fewer numbers due to the appalling weather we have experienced this summer. The actual number of species seen at my regular haunts have been the same, just less of them. Another phenomenon this year has been nice still sunny days whilst I have been at work !

RE: Dragonflies
That's always the way, brilliant weather while your at work and then when you get a day off it rains all day!
I haven't seen as many dragonflies or damselflies around this year either, as RipleyOdonata said it is probably because of the awful summer we have had. I would think that this wouldn't cause any long term damage, they will be back just as strong next year as long as we have a better summer.
