Bluebell pictures

Here are a couple of pictures of the bluebell woods near my house that were taken a few days ago ,as you can see they really do create a carpet of purple. I saw the woods again today and they seem to be going over already because of the heat which is a shame. Usually they last longer but they just haven't been able to cope with the warm weather.

Beautiful!

We have several bluebells woods around us, but I haven't managed to get any pictures. When you see the bluebells coming out, you know summer is well on its way Icon_biggrin

What a beautiful sight! I haven't seen anything like that here where I live.

I used to glory in the sight of golden California poppies mixed with blue lupins long ago growing up in California. That combination would light up the gently rolling hills of the San Francisco bay area. Unfortunately, most of the hills are now covered with houses, and the endless stretches of California poppies are no more Icon_sad .

RE: Bluebell pictures

Well taken pictures Xeract, I especially like the colours on the first.

We have bluebell woods around here if you know where to look for them. Richard, I always think of bluebells signalling the start of summer too, but never more so than this year as the weather has been so warm.

RE: Bluebell pictures

I love the pics & do have a nice pic with my dogs sat amongst the bluebells but unfortunately it was taken some years ago & the camera was my very first digital so not so good quality.
Xeract , Your pics are so nice that I popped outside & took one of my own. Unfortunately I haven't had time to go locally so I took a quick snap of one in my grass bank. I like the digital as you can so much instant fun with it.
