If it is, you'd need to hear the song. Willow and Alder Flycatchers are virtually identical. They were considered the same species until the 1970s.

I have seen, and heard both of these flycatchers.

No correct guesses so far guys. It is an American Warbler, but which one? Probably occurs more often in the UK than any other (in recent years).

Wow, sorry didnt see this guess! Correctamundo Fauna! It is indeed a first winter Blackpoll Warbler taken on the Isles of Scilly in October 2005.
