RE: Bird Quiz

Well go on then Paul we will give you some time off for good behaviour, many thanks for doing the quiz it is very good fun and also gets you the old 'Grey Matter' working.Icon_cheesygrin
I wish you both all the best for your wedding and for the future, will you have your bino's round your neck whilst at the church 'Just in case'??Icon_lol
I presume that we all will have to get books on the birds of the Dominican Republic ready for your return. I would give it a go putting some pictures up but i don't really have that many and the ones i have got are would be very easy to guess.
Maybe i could start doing one on moths. Icon_twisted

RE: Bird Quiz

Congratulations Paul! We probably don't need to ask whether or not your future wife is interested in birdwatching, do we?

Hmmm, do I have any photos I can throw up there during your absence? I shall have to dig around the box...

RE: Bird Quiz

Thanks Guys, I will be back i promise! My future wife is NOT interested in Birdwatching. I find it best not to mix business with pleasure!!
My daughter is though, and ticked Red Kite on her life, county and Garden list today!!

RE: Bird Quiz

Rock Pipit?

And in case none of us get that right, here's my contribution:

A common bird in my state of Washington, but I don't think one's ever been spotted in the UK. This one is a regular visitor to my feeding station.

RE: Bird Quiz

Both of you are correct, except for the spelling Icon_biggrin .

A Steller's Jay it is! I finally managed to photograph this one visiting my deck. They are very wary birds, and it would take off the instant I moved until several weeks had gone by. Not a great photo, but the outline and colour are unmistakable. This is the western version of the Blue Jay.

RE: Bird Quiz

Come on people! Anyone want to be brave enough to submit photos?! They dont have to be good photos, its sometimes better if they aren't! Just as long as you know the right answer!
