RE: Bird Quiz

WELL DONE! Tawny Pipit it is. This one was at Porthgwarra in May 2005.
I will publish the score board after the next one.

Heres another: 10 points for each bird (10 bonus points if you get both correct in the same go) Answers must be EXACT for this one, there is potential for 30 points here!

RE: Bird Quiz

Bird on the left is an adult Pink-footed Goose of the subspecies rossicus, other is an adult of the subspecies fabilis.

RE: Bird Quiz

I think the one on the right is a juvenile White Fronted Goose, and the one on the left is a Pink Footed Goose

Mmmm. All sounds very educational. But wrong i'm afraid!!
No totally correct answers so far.
Jamie, White fronted Goose has black bars on its belly. The clue to these two birds are in the bills initially.

RE: Bird Quiz

Well, this is very tough for me, because I've never seen either one of these birds! Bean Goose is a vagrant on the East Coast of the US only, and Greylag does not occur here apparently.

Bird on left is Bean Goose, and Greylag Goose on right?

RE: Bird Quiz

Just realised this morning I had put down the wrong species. I meant to put Bean Goose instead of Pink-footed Goose Icon_redface
