Lesser Scaup?

The head doesn't have the 'peaked' look, though. I suppose that could be due to the angle of the photo...

RE: Bird Quiz

Crikey that was quick. Suppose the backround habitat sort of gave it away. The Stoop gets the 10 points.

Scoreboard:

Jamiewade94 = 55points
Fauna = 40points
Kingfisher = 30 points
The Stoop = 30 points
Nicola = 20 points

And another, a bit rarer and harder this time:

RE: Bird Quiz

White tail.
Dark legs.
Grey wings.
Primaries black, with nice white spots.
Belly white.
Bit of white showing on back.
Legs seem rather delicate, not stocky.

Could be a Franklin's Gull, or a Black-legged Kittiwake (in winter plumage).

I think I'll go with the Black-legged Kittiwake.
