Autumn leaves

Felt like a young kid this morning as I walked the dog in my local woodland. The strong winds we are currently experiencing had blown the leaves into drifts like snow across the path, so I took delight in kicking them into the wind and watching them being blown everywhere. The dog enjoyed it too, as she tried to catch the leaves, until she got a mouthfull and had to spit them out.

Such fun - childish, but still funIcon_smile

RE: Autumn leaves

At this time of the year, here, the bigleaf maple leaves cover paths and trails. It's slightly scary fun to ride the bike down a long path covered with leaves. There's the constant threat that a slick wet or icy patch will be encountered, or a tree limb, thus causing the rider (me) to be dumped unceremoniously.

Don't worry we all do it! there's something so satisfying about ploughing your way through piles of fallen leaves.

RE: Autumn leaves

Out working in some local woods today, so there were piles and piles and piles of leaves to kick around Icon_smile

Q: What do you call a man thrashing around in a pile of leaves?

A: Russell.

RE: Autumn leaves

I think it's definitely one of the prettiest times of the year. I love how each tree turns a different shade of red orange and brown.
