Has anyone seen bluebells beginning to flower yet? I was out for a walk in my favourite bluebell wood earlier, and while they weren't flowering today I would only give it another week or so before they do, perhapy two.
As I've said before seeing a carpet of bluebells is one of my favourite parts of Spring. I'll try and get a picture of the local woods if I can find a digital camera.
We don't get carpets of bluebells here...although apparently in the Eastern US they can be seen

.
Do try to get a photo for us, Xeract.

I visited the bluebell woods yesterday afternoon and they are still not out, although they are getting close. This year there seems to be more in the woods than ever so it should be spectacular, I'll definitely try and get my hands on a digital camera to take some pictures of it.
It is usually May here for Bluebells not like you lucky folk down south, so I will be a couple of months behind you. I will keep you posted when I spot my first one.
Our blue bells are now out & have been for about 2 weeks in different parts, spending if they were in full sun etc. We have lots growing on spare land etc in addition to bluebell woods. I did used to pick them as a child in an anciant wood but that was back in the early 60's. People would be aghast if you did that now. Everyone around here has blue bells. I like them at twilight when they go ilike ultraviolet light colour.Does that make sense?

Yes, it does! They do seem to glow at twilight, although I can't explain why.
