Hello everyone!
My name is Alison, I'm an amateur wildlife photographer, with a keen interest in zoology and a passion for animals. I'm also a vegetarian with veganistic leanings.
In my life I've owned many animals, presently one cat, one dog and two domestic rats. For me, keeping animals is a wonderful way to study them closely, and develop compassion for them.
I have many aspirations - to write nature books, help charities, expand welfare awareness, travel the world with my photography, and I also paint and sculpt. I have an ear for music, but have never pursued it.
I'm 25, and although I come from England I have lived in Wales for 20 years and consider it my true home. It's rural areas offer wonderful opportunities to mingle with UK wildlife, and as a photographer I really value that.
One day I hope to sell enough photographs to afford a top-notch SLR and take it to remote areas of the world in search of rare and new species.
I stumbled upon this forum while searching for places in the UK that are known for their wildlife concentration, and decided to join up! So here I am, happy to meet you all, and hope to get to know everyone very soon
