My tutor has said me to compare concepts of the word yellow in the English and in the Russian languages (it's psycholinguistics). I find out more and more about yellow concept. In general I have already English 48 answers and 74 Russian ones! It is very interesting to compare. For ex there aren't Russian answers as Yellow Hammer or Buttercups at all, but there are dandylions and a lot of tulips.

I know that most of you now probably think of the southern US states as being very conservative--which they are! But, until the advent of the Civil Rights movement, the southern states voted for Democrats.

I've found an interesting fact about the origin of the word "yellow": it came fron the common Indoeuropian word "ghel", which denoted yellow and green as well. There was no difference between these colours that days!
