This morning, despite the high winds, I went out and refilled all my feeders. Within seconds 2 wood pigeons, a collared dove, 2 jackdaws, 3 starlings, 2 blackbirds, a robin and a blue tit had all appeared! Hungry?? I think so!!
Blue Tits, Great Tits, Coal Tits (see photo posted to gallery), Long Tail Tits, Chaffinches, Robins, Dunnocks, Pheasant, Nut Hatch, Blackbird. The pheasant is more useful than you might imagine, he sees off the squirrels which give us some respite from the squirrel wars. By squirrel I really mean American grey tree rat.
Blue tits, great tits, robins, chaffinches, dunnocks, goldfinches, blackbirds, nut hatches, a pair of collared doves, wood pigeons and a magpie. The Magpie saw off the squirrels and the wood pigeons promptly saw off the Magpie. Fortunately the strong overnight winds appear to have died down making life a bit easier for them all.
Goldfinches, greenfinches, magpies, jackdaws, rooks, hooded crow, starlings, house sparrows, chaffinches and dunnock. Oh and a hen blackbird.Icon_smile

Hi timevalue, glad to have you join us!

We all love the EGS aka American Grey Tree Rat. We have some nice recipes for preparing it in various ways, too!

Brilliant! You must get photos for us. I know I am envious!

As for what has visited my US garden. Crows and Oregon Juncos. Bushtits.

Not much today, and no one seems inclined to visit my feeder either Icon_sad .

Kingfisher

Although I have only seen wood pigeon and robin so far when I went to feed the rabbit just now I heard scrabbling in my new tit box and out popped a prospecting blue tit - I hope I haven't put them off.
