Just a quick introduction.
I have been interested in wildlife for most of my life, and have been taking pictures for about the last 22 years (on & off). My main interest is in lepidoptera, but i am just getting more into bird photography.
I will be shortly moving to the Isle of Mull with my wife Hazel, where we will be building our home.

I am a Gardener/ Tree Surgeon and as such my other hobby is woodturning.

Welcome to Wildlife UK AndyK, hope to see you around here more.
That's wonderful that your building your home, have you got started yet?
Hi, Andy and Welcome.
I'm hoping to do more with Moths myself this year. Going to borrow a Trap, i'm to tight to buy one...seen the price on them

.
Hope to pick your brains on the tricky species

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Richard, we have not started yet, but we are moving in 3 weeks time, a new job with accomodation close to our land so hopefully we wil be able to sort thing out a bit more easily.
Chris, i know what you mean about the price, you could try to make your own they are fairly simple to do, all you will need is the electrics.
Feel free to pick away at my brain, you may catch it on a good day.

Yes, i was going to make the Actinic...well, i did make the shell of two. Then my local recorder offered me one on lone, wasn't turning that down

Hi Andy. I'm a newbie too.
Building your own home sounds fab, what an amazing project and such an amazing place to live too!! And interested in woodturning. My father-in-law loves wood turning so my house is full of bowls, goblets and wooden mushrooms etc. What a great hobby!! I just wish I had the patience to do something like that
Good luck with the house building I hope it all goes well
Hi AndyK, wow, moving to Mull - fantastic. You'll be able to take loads of brilliant wildlife shots there - especially the White Tailed Sea Eagles.
Good luck with your house.
