Now that Spring is well and truly here, what do you enjoy most about the transition from Winter to Spring?

My favourite part is seeing the gradual change as wildlife slowly emerges from hibernation, it's like seeing old friends again.

The sunshine is nice too!
I can tell you are in a different part of the world! Rain here today. Even so, the tree buds are starting to peek their way out...

Visiting a bluebell forest is always a spectacular sight. I always make sure to visit at least one every year.
Today was glorious, the sun was shining and there was a feel of spring in the air. I think the most amazing thing which I hadn't realised before was that the bids were singing so loudly, it was lovely. Until that point i hadnt noticed how much I had missed them through the winter months.

But already the snowdrops and crocus' are almost over and we are the middle of march, wasn't it christmas a couple of weeks ago?

Spring does seem to have come very quickly this year, but I don't think the middle of March is that late for the snowdrops to be dropping or am I remembering timings wrong?

We might have sunshine here in Lancashire but the daffs are only just flowering. Forsythia is out & birds are pairing up. I always feel better when the daffs have gone as we are well on out way to summer.

The daffs are just about to go over down here I think, the bluebells are just coming through. On a side note, it's great having the longer evenings now even if it is a bit annoying losing an hour on a Sunday!

The US lost the hour two weeks ago--I hate it! Because I work graveyard, and am currently working on weekends, I worked through the time change. It's horrible to look up at the clock and know that no matter what, an hour will be lost in the blink of an eye.

Hi, I went out for an Easter walk and was happy to see that the bluebells are in flower now. Just the start of a few but lovely all the same. Happy Easter to you all Icon_smile

I went up to our local bluebell woods on Friday and many of the bluebells were out but not all of them. I did manage to get a few pictures but I'll hold off posting them until all the bluebells have come into bloom.

My favourite part is when the snowdrops pop through.
It feels like one of the warmest springs yet this year. During spring time I love how the days get longer. When you wake up the sun is shining and when you come home from work it's still shining. Everybody seems alot more happier too!

This feels to me like one of the warmest springs too. Today was amazing weather, I just hope it stays like this for the summer.

Then again that would probably mean another water shortage Icon_biggrin

my favorite part of spring is the greening up of the fields and hedgerows sometimes you dont notice it, then a bright day of sunshine and it just leaps out and hits you straight between the eyes "magic" and just around the corner may blossom! aaaahh its good to be an englishman in england
Yes that is a concern of mine as well actually. They say this year's temperature is going to be a record breaking summer. The heat now feels like summer already. It really makes you realise the effect that global warming is having on the climate.
