Oh, if you want a easy sighting of a red kite, try loitering around the Harewood Estate just north of Leeds.
Or drive the lower part of the M40, as I did on Friday afternoon. The remarkable thing there was that I didn't crash the car whilst looking out the sunroof. 
You did well to keep an eye on the road! I'd love to see one, and would find it difficult to keep my eyes off it
I spotted another Red Kite this week. It was cruising around above Askwith near Ilkley.
I only have a basic camera so a photo would be pretty useless, these birds in particular seem to stay quite high and always seem to be alone. The local crows got really excited when this one turned up, lots of squawking.
