I was in Hylands Park in Chelmsford today, and I was walking around in the woods.
And right above me, high in the trees, was a very pale, almost white bird with black spots on its stomach. It had a very nice, melodious song. I thought it may be a Song Thrush, but it didn't look like the ones in my book.
Also when I was in the woods, I heard the very distinctive drumming noise of a Great Spotted Woodpecker. I unfortunately didn't see it.
Can anybody help and work out what that pale bird was for me? I don't have a picture I am afraid!
Thanks in advance,
Jamie Wade
P.S I became a member of the RSPB today!
