I don't. I am fear free!! Icon_smile
I dont have phobias, but healthy respect when needed. I was swimming in the sea off Turkey and i looked under the water and saw what looked like a large shark directly below me about ten yards away. For an instance i felt like a shot of eletricity had gone through my body and i mean that i had a bolt go through me so intense. I realised seconds later that it was a large rock that looked like a shark. Now bearing in mind id love to swim with sharks (and have done so but only Basking Shark from a distance). The reaction in me even though it was only seconds surprised me. It was a primeavel reaction but where did it come from iv been scared before but to experience that electricity bolt thing was the first and hopefully the last i will experience. Iv got a phobia of rocks now ha ha.
Blimey. I would be really scared if a shark swam right under me. But, happily, when snorkeling in Cyprus, all I saw were little reef fish, such as Saddled Sea Bream. They grow, on average to about 4 inches, but I was shocked when a 10 inch one came out of the reef right in front of my face.
Yea i do alot of snorkelling at a place called Castle Beach when the tides right its the most fantastic place teeming with marine life. And the best of it is in shallow water in a type of natural bay but like i said the tide has to be right and the sun shining for visibility.
Cool. Is that in the UK?
Yes Castle Beach in Falmouth Cornwall in trying to upload a phot too this dialogue box if i cant its in the gallery under countryside titled Castle beach funnily enough.
I have a small fear of snakes, but I wouldn't go as far to say it was a real phobia. I think quite often we get our "fears" handed down from our parents. I'm sure the reason I have a slight fear of snakes is handed down from my mother who has a real phobia of them.

I honestly just shivered after reading that post! Icon_eek:eek:Icon_eek:eek:

I'm a bit strange about things I'm scared of. I often go through phases of being scared of something, usually in response to something I've read or seen on the TV. After a little while I tend to forget about it and move on to something else! I suppose that means I don't have any real phobias though, which is a good thing. I get a little "giddy" if I have to look down from a big height but I'm capable of doing it, so again it's not a real phobia.

It seems a lot of people have real phobia of spiders. Why do you think that is? What makes spiders so unpopular, when in this country we have nothing to fear them for at all?
I have a fear of logging on to this forum only to find myself still here four hours later when i should be in bed asleep!!!
Ha! I just go when I am tired. I usually notice Icon_cheesygrin
