England 1-0 Switzerland. After 41 minutes.
It hasnt been a lightning start for the new manager by any stretch of the imagination! Still, maybe I was expecting too much from the start.
Yep, i think so! Its 1-1 now!![/font]
Strewth! I nip out to make a brew and miss a bloody goal! 2-1 to England now!
Yep I saw that one! Brill game
You've got to be kidding! It was a terrible game to watch!
I know, but we won didn't we? I only saw the last 60 minutes or so, becasue I was at a careers convention at my school
It will take a while to get the players playing to the standards and system of the new manager, who first has to undo all the bad habits of the past few years - not something that will be achieved overnight. I think that it's a good start that he's keen for the players to adopt a more professional approach to the game and their behaviour. Only time will tell, so lets give him a few games before we start to judge (surely nothing can be worse that McClaren!).
Well said! Fabrio Cappello (or however you spell it), will, hopefully, be a good authorative figure for the club. Lest hope he wins us the world cup!
I don't like these friendly fixtures when they have loads of subs. I can understand what the Manager is doing but it doesn't make for a good game of football for the viewer.
how dare they !!!so much football on saturday evening tv,nothing worth watching until about 8pm disgusting
Well, Harry Hill's TV burp is on at quarter to 7, and that is quite funny. Southend won 2-1 today, with new boy on his debut James Lawson scoring the winner 5 minutes from time.

What TV are you watching? Football was on BBC1 until about 5pm. No football on after that!

Unfortunately, the TV schedulers aren't going to please everyone (and football was only on 1 channel). Personnally, I detest game shows, (lack of) talent competitions, soap operas and reality TV, so most of my TV evenings are affected by what a friend aptly termed 'chewing-gum for the brain'. In the end I got a digi-box so I at least have more choice.
