How many of us have ever booked a holiday specifically to view wildlife?  That is, either a birding tour, or perhaps a photographic safari?

I have been on a horseback guided pack trip in the Chilcotin Mountains in British Columbia, Canada, and seen moose, black bear, grizzly bear, woodland caribou and American beaver, just to mention the mammals.

Anyone else?

I've been on a safari to Kenya before, it was fantastic.

I've also been across the UK where I've always gone out to look at the wildlife although I've never actually booked a UK holiday specifically for the wildlife.

Horseback guided trip across the Mountains sounds brilliant! When did you do that? It is something I would definitely like to do at some point.
Richard, you are fortunate to have gone on safari to Kenya! My husband, who used to be in the United States Navy, actually sailed to Kenya on one of his tours of duty. He will eternally regret not having taken the one day trip offered to look at the native wildlife.

The horseback guided trip was about one and a half years ago. Absolutely gorgeous scenery, the guides/wranglers cook for the clients, gentle horses which are accustomed to the mountains. A wonderful experience, and I am glad I was able to do the trip.
