Ahh! Dropped two points after a referee gifted equalizer in the last five minutes vs Cardiff on Saturday. Still nice to be sitting in 7th place in the Championship.

Brighton and Hove Albion for my sins,I don't have any second teams as its always been my contention that you should support your home town team.
and from the depths of the bottom leagues we have survived greedy directors who sold the ground and would have watched us die and but for the supporters it would have done just that.
anyway enough we are doing OK now.
roger.

Arrr man Roger, you beat us 2-0 on Friday! Did you go to the game?
I agree with supporting a home team, which is why I am a Southend United fan.

no I don't get to any games unless I go to Brighton to visit listen to the local commentary on the net though and meet up with old mates on there.
Mickey Adams second coming has had the desired effect so far though and I am expecting a good season .

Are they a local team for you Stubby?
07-10-2008, 08:06 PM
They are pretty close now I've moved to North Wales, but I'm from Chester originally, so although I've had, um...15 years living in other parts of the country they're still my team. Hopefully I'll see a few more games now I'm nearer. Previously I just got to see them over the Christmas or Easter periods when I was visiting my folks.

I think its always nice to support teams that are local.

Me too, although there are days when my lot make me wish I'd been born next to Anfield or Stamford Bridge (can't bring myself to say Old Trafford though, lol. Even if I'd been born on the goal line there my Dad wouldn't have let me support them!)

Not sure about being born near the ground counts for anything, you may have well been born in Canterbury ( no offence to any residents of said town) and still be 'legible' to support ManUre'td' ![]()

ManUre'td'

I may be one of those rare beings a MANCHESTER UNITED (please note the correct spelling) fan that actually comes from Manchester, but seriously the membership runs to hundreds of thousands so your bound to meet lots of MAN UTD fans outside the county. I've met them all over the world but most of them seem to think Bobby Charlton is a current player !!!!
